Katherine Bennett credits her unique and singular creative insight to the unconventional and often informal path she took to jewelry design and fabrication. With proficiencies ranging from metalsmithing to costumier, she is a voracious student of jewelry and fashion design, who constantly adopts and adapts emerging techniques and media to expand her superlatively variegated portfolio and vision.
Katherine first experienced the fundamentals of metalsmithing while attending Indiana University. She later began a two year residency at the Faulkner Gallery developing her own unique style. Often incorporating unusual and recycled materials in her work. Illustrating that one can make exceptional art and jewelry by an unconventional means.
